Let’s Talk! At the start of any project, there are so many questions. In this complimentary 30-minute phone session, we will begin by addressing the overall needs you are looking to remedy for your home. Why are you beginning this project? What do you like about the space, and what are the challenges? What is your style? I will offer some suggestions on how to tackle your goals and share how the design/renovation process works for a smooth project. If at the end of this call you would like to schedule an in-home design consultation, we will schedule it and go over a few specific details in preparation for our meeting.

In home design consultation ($200 in Palm Beach and Martin Counties)

The in-home design consultation is a great tool for projects that range from a face lift for a fast sale to a total renovation for your forever home. This consultation may be all you need to put you on the path to making your space exactly what you want. For others, this consultation can be the starting point for full-service design. During this consultation, I will have the opportunity to see your home in person and understand the challenges, as well as the perks, of the space involved in the design. It gives us an opportunity to learn a little about you, your family and your tastes. We will discuss what your vision is. We will then provide our best and grandest ideas based on what you have shared. This is a time to dream and discuss all things possible that would meet or exceed your requests for the space. The next step is the budget discussion to determine what suggestions and options will fit your space and your budget. You may be surprised at what can be accomplished in this creative session!

Note: During this phase of the design process, there are no final selections, but ideas and suggestions. Good design takes some thought and time to develop. While the initial needs can be conceptualized, to make something brilliant and complete, it takes some creative thinking. In other words, an actual design will not be achieved in the initial consultation.

Together, we’ll select the services below based on the needs of your project. Design services may be priced on a project or hourly basis.

Design idea board - Prepare and present design board based on discussed design concepts to highlight material cohesion.

Design/schematic drawings - Gives you the opportunity to visually see the design before making substantial financial commitments and purchases. This is highly recommended.

Vendor selection/recommendations - Suggest reputable, budget conscious vendors that carry the brands/styles of materials needed to complete the design (Example: cabinet color or texture, pull selections, lighting selection, etc.).

Material selection – Shopping day! Shop online and/or travel to vendors for material selection as needed (Example: stone countertops require client to pick the exact piece they would like).

Ongoing project collaboration – Assist and collaborate with any custom fabricators and ensure subcontractors/installers understand the correct layout of materials (Example: direction or pattern of backsplash, flooring direction, pull/knob location, etc.)

No demolition renovations - Sometimes the smallest changes can make a big difference to aesthetics, functionality, space flow, which can enhance the enjoyability and/or value of your home for resale.

Age in place modifications – We can modify your space to allow easy access to anyone who may have challenges with mobility while maintaining aesthetics. A few of the accommodations include curbless showers, ramps, wider hallways, and lower fixtures, switches, cabinets and countertops.
